Mark has worked as an international Fund Manager, Financial Analyst and Corporate Financier, and has extensive international experience in the natural resources and high technology sectors. Mark started his career at the Co-operative Insurance Society, then moved to Globe Investment Trust, then the largest investment trust in the world and a constituent of the FT100, before joining Rockefeller and Co, part of the Rockefeller family office. He subsequently worked for Kleinwort Benson Investment Management, before becoming Head of Research at Canaccord Capital (Europe). |

After advising the Government of Ghana on Ashanti Goldfields in 1999/2000. Mark established M. Horn & Co., an FCA authorised corporate finance advisory firm. The decision to move away from regulated FCA work and to adopt an active entrepreneurial strategy was taken in September 2019. Mark holds a PhD in Law (Lincoln University); an ALM, (Harvard University, USA); BA, BA(Hons)(First Class), MA, (Rhodes University, South Africa); BSc, BSc(Hons)(Geosciences), MSc in Space Science and Technology, B.Eng(Hons), MEng, MSc in Engineering (Open University, UK); LLB(Hons), LLM, MBA(Banking) (London University, UK); Dip.B.Admin (Manchester Business School, UK) and the Securities Institute diploma. Mark’s PhD thesis was titled:‘Critical analysis from an international law perspective of the United Kingdom's regulatory framework of Space and High Altitude Activities in the context of changing technology and evolving geopolitical tensions.' Mark has been called to the Bar of England and Wales as a Barrister of the Honourable Society of Lincoln's Inn, and currently holds out as a barrister in connection with the supply of legal services under rS15 of the Scope of Practice Rules in the Bar Standards Board (BSB) Handbook. |
